About G.V. Impuls
G.V. Impuls — fully Wageningse Gymnastiekvereniging Impuls — was formed on July 25, 2002, from the merger of two Wageningen gymnastics clubs: HBS and Amicitia. Impuls itself has therefore existed for about 25 years, but its roots reach back well over a century.
Houdt Braaf Stand (HBS) was founded on June 13, 1922 — initially as a sports association, and continued as a gymnastics association from 1927. Amicitia originated from the Roman Catholic gymnastics and athletics association Amicitia, founded on April 5, 1957, and continued as the Wageningen Gymnastics Association Amicitia since 1977.
Since the merger, Impuls has continued the work of both associations, with one goal: to practice and promote gymnastics in the broadest sense — for young and old in Wageningen.
